Recipe Runner's Sriracha Pumpkin Humus

Sriracha Pumpkin Hummus

  • 15 ounce can garbanzo beans
  • 3/4 cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 T. fresh lemon juice
  • 1 t. extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 small garlic clove, minced
  • 1 t. cumin
  • 1/2 t. chili powder
  • 1/4 t. smoked paprika
  • 3/4 t. kosher salt
  • 2 t. sriracha
  • 1/4-1/2 cup water
  • Pita chips or vegetables for serving

Even though hummus has been around since the 13th century (thanks wikipedia) the first time I ever heard of it was on Friends.  Who would have thought that the spicy middle eastern dip would pair so well with the comforting fall flavors we know and love.  Buy hey, where there's a meal, there's a way!

It was a huge hit with my crowd! A hint of spice, but still creamy and delicious!
