Pumpkin Smoothie

Pumpkin Pie Smoothie
  • 2 chopped frozen bananas
  • 1 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • dash of pumpkin pie spice
Directions

Freeze 2 chopped ripe bananas in the freezer overnight.  The next morning, combine all ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth.  Makes 2 large smoothies.

The above recipe is the combination of two recipes.  One that my sister, Rachel, told me about, and the other was a pumpkin smoothie from Brown Dog Coffee in Burgaw, NC.  The result was a delicious smoothie that was low in fat, high in protein and basically tastes like a Pumpkin Pie in a glass.  Did you know that the Traditional Pumpkin Spice Latte contains no pumpkin whatsoever?  Looking for a delicious breakfast smoothie that contains REAL pumpkin and tastes REAL good, where there's a meal, there's a way!
